GRADES 1-8 please practice the following songs for Thanksgiving Mass:
-How Great Thou Art
-We Gather Together
-Gift of Finest Wheat
-Come Ye Thankful People, Come
Grades 1-8 will be learning about St. Cecilia, patron saint of music.

PreK 1,2 will be working on religious songs about Thanksgiving and changing of seasons, with music and movement.
PreK 1-6 will be using percussion instruments such as tambourines, shakers, and sticks this week to create various beats and practice call and answer routines.
Parent-teacher conferences are on Friday, 1pm-6pm.

Week of November 3, 2019

Dear Students and Parents,
This week in Music we will begin to include Thanksgiving-themed religious and non-religious songs. Grade 2 will be working on their choral skills.
Some of the songs will be "How Great Thou Art, "Gift of Finest Wheat" and "We Gather Together".
Grades 5-8 will be learning a new song on the recorder flute, traditional hymn "Peace Like A River".
Grades 3-4 will be practicing recorder flute songs such as Suo Gan ( Welsh traditional lullaby), and "Sailor Sailor on the Sea".
PreK, K and 1st Grade will be learning many children's songs about seasons, weather and holidays.
