Week of November 25

Dear OLQM Students and Families,
I hope you had an enjoyable as well as restful Thanksgiving.
This week we will begin with preparation for Lessons and Carols. In addition to the song selection and practice, we will discuss various ways we can make the performances more involved in telling the story of our Savior’s birth.
Younger grades as well as PreK classes will be using lots of percussion instruments this week and play percussion and rhythm games.
Older grades continue with developing the block flute/recorder repertoire as well as piano skills.
Students in Sacramental program are requirerd to check my blog updates on Thursdays and Fridays as the songs for the Sunday Mass will be posted in advance, weekly. Students can review the songs and be prepared to sing in the choir if required.
Please note that there is half day schedule on Monday November 26.
Have a great week!

They Will Know We’re Christians By Our Love

We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord;
We are one int he Spirit, we are one in the Lord;
And we pray that all unity will one day be restored.

Chorus: And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love,
yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love.

We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand;
We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand;
And together we'll spread the news that God is in our land.

We Will work with each other, we will work side by side;
We will work with each other, we will work side by side;
And we'll guard each man's dignity and save each man's pride.

All praise to the Father, from whom all things come;
And all praise to Christ Jesus, His only Son.
And all praise to the Spirit who makes us one.
