The third quarter report card will notify parents if their child will be required to attend summer school in order to be promoted to the next grade.  There is ample time -- 2 months of school remaining for students to improve their grades in order to avoid summer school.
The report card will note that Summer Summer in PERSON is a requirement for promotion.
Please speak to your child's teacher on Friday during the scheduled report card time.
The summer school program is free and open to open to all students. Students who are failing will be required to attend in person for the whole program which will be held here at OLQM.

Also as listed in the parent/student handbook children who have been absent more than 20 school days will be retained in that grade.

As always parents may see Mr. Woods on Sundays from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM with any of their concerns regarding their child's progress, summer school or promotion to the next grade.
There is no appointment needed for parents to see Mr. Woods on Sundays.
