4th grade assignment
Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see
Bluebirds
Singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds
All day long
Singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds
All day long
Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly
Never saw things going so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly
Blue days
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on
I never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going oh-so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly
Never saw things going oh-so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly
Blue days
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on

Week of January 13
Dear students and families,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Please note the January 14 is a half-day.
This week we will begin preparations for a Valentine’s Day concert in mid February. We will also learn and sing songs that celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr.
While exploring traditional and contemporary gospel music, the students will analyze and relate the lyrics to their own experiences, and learn how music is a powerful tool for inspiration and social change.
We will also explore the history and culture of musical theater as well as several important composers.
